Happy Birthday Banner for Fabric Fest

This is what fabric I will be using for the kits for Riley Blake Fabric Fest. I hope you will join me for the class. This birthday banner is such a fun way to countdown to your child's birthday. Each pocket can be removed and then added back on as the days approach his or her birthday.
Little notes or gifts can be put in the pockets making the anticipation even more fun.

  16. My daughter made a Happy Birthday banner with paper, sequins, and markers when she was about 8 years old - it cherished and we hang it up for each of our birthdays for about a week. I simply could not make one made of fabric - oh no! It would be a neat and different idea for a gift!!!

  24. This is, indeed, a clever idea. I do like it. I think what I will do is make one as a wedding present for my daughter who is getting married in less than a month. I might turn it into a "happy anniversary banner" each could put a gift for each other in the pockets. Brilliant idea!

  26. I love the idea of making pockets rather than just a plain banner. My two little boys would definitely love one of these. I'll have to get sewing.

  27. Oh they are pockets! Now I would have never thought of that. You are one smart cookie. Oooh yeah, little wrapped treats in them for each countdown day. This makes it really fun for the kids besides a nice decor piece. Love it!

  36. A totally adorable idea! My MIL would not approve, I bought my daughter 1 barbie (cost 7euros) for her birthday a few weeks ago and she freaked out about me spoiling her. The pockets would have to be filled with love notes and not presents. I love the idea though.
